Rocco V. Fiore is a 1972 graduate of the University of Wisconsin where he earned a degree in business with a minor in landscape architecture. In addition to growing and managing the company for nearly 40 years, Rocco has been actively involved in the landscape industry. In an effort to raise professional standards, he played a key role in the establishment of legislation for the State of Illinois Certified Landscape Technician’s Board (CLT). He then served as one of the first judges for the CLT testing in Illinois. From 1997 through 2004, Rocco served on the Illinois Landscape Contractors Association (ILCA) Board of Directors and proudly served a term as ILCA president from July 2002 – June 2003.

In addition to his long-standing involvement with professional associations, Rocco also supports the region’s landscape architecture programs with numerous donations of time, talent and treasure. One significant example was the company's funding of a trip to send a group of 20 college students abroad for four weeks to study the English landscape. Rocco also encourages our design team members to continue their professional education through curricula available at the Chicago Botanic Garden and Morton Arboretum.
